Consumer RV Maintenance / NRVIA Lvl 1 Certified Inspector
Become the master of your own RVing destiny! Did you know that around 80% of issues you will experience with your RV can be fixed with just some basic knowledge and tools? In just 5 days, during a live, hands-on training session, typical consumers can learn the ins and outs of their units, potentially saving yourself thousands of dollars. Oh and if you were so inclined, you can even walk out as a NRVIA Certified Level 1 RV Inspector so you can make some money on the road by doing RV walk-throughs, basic safety inspections, and more.
Located on the beautiful grounds of Texan RV Park & Campus just outside of Athens, TX, which is close to both Dallas and Houston and offers a quiet, country setting. Classes are held monthly at the newly constructed Big Red School House & Community Center, home of the National RV Training Academy (NRVTA).
RV Tech Course In A Box - Learn on your schedule!
Like the idea of getting all the training we talked about in the Consumer RV Maintenance Course information, but can't physically take a week off to travel to Athens, TX? Never fear, the good folks at the NRVIA with the help of Terry Cooper, The Texas RV Professor, have put together a series of online training combined with printed study guides that can teach you the same information, just minus the actual experience of the hands-on classroom learning environment.
For ease of use they break the classes down into 15-20 minute long segments so you can learn at your own pace. Finish it in a few days or in a few weeks, it's all up to you! They even give you field-training exercises so you can get hands-on your own rig.
Workamper News - What's a Workamper?
If you are new to the RV Lifestyle, want to be part of a bigger community, or are looking for jobs while you travel, Workamper News just may be the place for you!
I first heard of “Workamping” when on my maiden retirement RV trip May-July 2018. My first RV issue was the passenger windshield wiper stopped working during heavy rains. The second, was the rearview camera was intermittent. It seemed like it was never working when I needed it, in tight spots or heavy traffic. I saw an article about Workamper News Magazine and found it had an online version. I started with the basic subscription and found the information to be so helpful I upgraded the subscription to add the Awesome Applicant resume builder. While attending the Workamper Rendezvous, we decided to become Workamper Ambassadors (AMB 266). I also enrolled in a Course at the NRVIA (National RV Inspector Association). I was encouraged by one of the staff members to apply for workamper position at Texan RV Park...click below to read more about our first workamping adventure!
